The main part of funding for the £1.6 million budgeted cost to redevelop the old Church Halls into Saint Andrew’s Centre has come directly from members of St Andrew’s Church, Histon. The process started with a appeal at the end of 2009 and by April 2014 church members had given and pledged more than £1.2 million towards the cost of the project.
The Diocese of Ely generously contributed a loan of £500,000, which enabled the project to get underway in 2013.
In addition we would like to thank the following grant making bodies who have together given grants totalling £117,000 towards the cost.
South Cambridgeshire Community Fund £40,000
Allchurches Trust £10,000
Garfield Weston £20,000
